I tried getting tickets to the Doctor Who premiere event in NYC a little while ago but it didn’t even show that they had these tickets until like 6 minutes after they went on sale.
First, when I typed Doctor Who as the event to search for, it only showed 3 things and this wasn’t one of them. I was about to give up but decided to try again and when I typed Doctor this event did show up, but by then it was too late.
I knew that these tickets would sell quickly, but it doesn’t make any sense that when I went to this site that I couldn’t even get the event to show up so that I would possibly have a slight chance of getting 2 of them.
This is all just so disappointing.
I’d never been to that site before. I made sure that I signed up for it yesterday just so I could get these tickets.
Maybe I’m the only one that had such a problem.I’d love to know if anyone else did too.
Oh well, I guess that I shouldn’t have been so hopeful that I’d get to attend my first Doctor Who event ever. We weren’t paying attention to Facebook and twitter when Matt Smith was in NYC so we missed out on that event and the filming of the Weeping Angels episode.
The premise of minimum wage, when it was introduced, was that a single wage earner should be able to own a home and support a family. That was what it was based on; a full time job, any job, should be able to accomplish this.
The fact people scoff at this idea if presented nowadays, as though the people that ring up your groceries or hand you your burgers don’t deserve the luxury of a home and a family, is disgusting.
